The goal of this reading group will be to understand the definition of automorphic forms and automorphic representations over the Adeles, and how it relates to the classical theory of automorphic forms. We will be working from the syllabus below, which is based on the textbook by Goldfeld and Hundley.
The expected commitment is <3 hours a week, Tuesdays from 11-1pm CT. Each week we will have hybrid lectures and split Zoom/in-person problem solving sessions. Illinois students can access resources on Box.
